Branwar Wine Distributing Co. was established in July 2010 by founder Wayne Luckett and son Warren. The two both envisioned sharing South African Wines with the U.S. Texas Market.
Branwar Wine Distributing serves as a wholesaler for South African wine distribution across the Texas Market. Their wines are now available in upscale restaurants and wine bars in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas.
The Branwar Wine portfolio includes several varietals: Beyerskloof Pinotage, Blouvlei Red Blend (Cab/Merlot/Cab Franc), Blouvlei Sauvignon Blanc, Blouvlei Klassique (Cab/Merlot/Shiraz), Doolhof Merlot, Doolhof Cabernet Sauvignon, Epicurean Red Blend (Cab/Merlot/Cab Franc), Passages Chardonnay, Passages Merlot and Passages Blend (Cab/Merlot).
WHY
South African Wines?
Founder Wayne Luckett developed an affinity for South African wines during his five year residency in Johannesburg, South Africa. After returning to the states, he wanted to continue his enjoyment of select South African wines. Realizing there was a void in good consistent South African wines in the Texas wine industry, he set out to offer one of the Western Cape’s best kept secrets. South Africa’s current introduction to the world wine stage allows it to showcase its hundred year old vines and wine making skills that go into making remarkably balanced wines with a sense of structure and shape.
